Neil Gordon

Dean of the University, Vice President of Academic Affairs, The American University of Paris

Neil Gordon is Professor of Literary Studies at The New School for Social Research and Eugene Lang College, a former dean of Eugene Lang College, and currently Dean of the University and Vice President for Academic Affairs, as well as Professor of Comparative Literature, at the American University of Paris.  He was educated at The University of Michigan and Yale University, where he earned his Ph.D. In French Literature.  For many years on the staff of The New York Review of Books, he is the author of three novels, The Sacrifice of Isaac (Random House), The Gunrunner’s Daughter (Random House), and The Company You Keep (Viking).  This last novel will be released under the same name as a Robert Redford film in autumn, 2012.  His literary criticism has appeared in The New York Times, The Nation, The Boston Review, and numerous other venues.
